Pouteria sp. PQ2 Seeds
Pouteria sp. PQ2 is a precocious small fruit tree found in Ecuador (and possibly other places) that produces 4-5 cm. fruit which are yellowish with a white blush. The fruit contains a decent amount of sweet white pulp that is enjoyed by many who taste it. Everything is edible except the seed and skin. This species appears to be related to Pouteria caimito (Abiu). Named after Ecuadorian grower Pablo Quinte (PQ). Seeds weigh 3.3 grams and are dark brown with a tan strip.
