Fruits at 4-7 years old, mature trees are likely freeze tolerant to the low 20's The fruit of this jaboticaba is similar to red jaboticaba but with thicker skin. The outstanding 10/10 flavor is that of Fruit Loops cereal however the foilage and upright growth pattern is notably more beautiful than red jaboticaba. 60%+ pulp by weight, bears a few times per year after 2-5 years of fruiting if kept irrigated and fertilized. Germination rates of 80%+ will continue well past 3 months from harvest. Needs daily watering and pH <7.5 either by water, soil, or amendments. Perfect for container culture. The pulp is 50% of the weight. Brix ranged from 14-16 for a sample of fruit thought to be picked while ripe.
