Note: This is one of the largest Campomanesias with a large amount of pulp.
Campomanesia lineatifolia (Palillo, Guabiraba) is native to the western part of the Amazon. The evergreen tree grows a dense crown to 5 - 10 meters tall. The fruit is subglobose, flat, smooth, yellow-orange, berry-like, with very juicy pulp, pleasant bittersweet flavor and few seeds. Fruit sets in late spring.
