Campomanesia guazumifolia (Gabiroba sete capotes) is a species of guabiroba native to Brazil. Please note that there are two alternate spellings: gabiroba and guabiroba and the name means seven shells in Portuguese. Sete Capotes is a fruit-bearing species that produces yellowish green fruits, with a juicy pulp and a sweet acidic flavor. Like most Guabirobas, this species grows quickly and is very productive. It it bears fruit from in late summer. Easy to grow, it should be planted in full sun or partial shade. It starts to produce fruits 3 to 4 years old.
